You can also check reviews to make sure you aren’t dealing with a fly by nighter. You don’t need a third person to do this for you, right?

• Wedding caterers are also easy to find this way. If you are uncomfortable transacting through phone calls and emails, you may personally visit their restaurant or shop and settle an arrangement. Ask if they offer a package of some sort where they do the table settings and centerpieces for the tables or if they can provide the cake.

• Another easy to coordinate item should be the church venue – assuming that is your wedding location choice. Find time to visit the church of your choice and ask for scheduling. Of course this step should be first because the schedule of the caterer will have to follow church availability.

• Next, plan for your own gown fitting and also your bridesmaids. Contact the boutique ahead and schedule an appointment. Bring your girlfriends with you. It will be like shopping. You may also schedule the cake tasting on the same day of your gown fitting.

• During the wedding you can ask the help of your cousins to usher guests, and an aunt who is not participating in the entourage could help in arranging the entrance of the entourage during the ceremony. If you have a friend who likes hosting, then maybe he could play as the emcee and direct the program of the reception.

It may look a lot to do but if you are on a tight budget and you want to save as much as you can, then this is the way to go because you can be in control of your choices. If you have a coordinator you are limited to what the coordinator presents to you. So go ahead and be your own wedding coordinator.

First of all, remember to do these project months ahead of your wedding date. It is better to finish up a project early than cram into finishing it on the last few days before the wedding. It is important to allow yourself ample time to make adjustments or redoing the whole dress. Even if you are skilled at dress making, it is still a good idea to start early. Don’t schedule making the dress a week before the wedding.

Draw the pattern making use of the measurements. Start with the length first. After marking the measurements, trace the dress and then cut the pattern. This will now be your pattern for cutting the fabric of the dress. You may purchase a book that would guide you to different patterns that you want.

Choose the right fabric of the dress. You may choose silk, tulle, eyelet and many more. Then cut the fabric according to pattern.

The next step is if you don’t know how to operate a sewing machine better have a friend teach you how. Acquiring the necessary skill will help ease your way through all the sewing tasks. When you have acquired the necessary skill, it is time to sew the dress. After sewing the basic dress you may now put in the beading, added layers of fabric you want and other accessories on the dress. After putting in the necessary accessories it’s time to fit and make the necessary adjustments. After following all these steps you now have the wedding dress of your dreams.

Expenses in a wedding often includes the church rental (if it’s a church wedding), the reception area rental, decoration expenses, catering expenses, florist fees, wedding planner fees, clothing expenses, car rentals, and many more. If you are on a budget, it would seem impossible to plan a wedding at all. But do not fear, there is a solution for this. If you are planning a wedding on a budget maybe you can cut the costs of decorations. Here are some tips. If you have the creativity and the skills in arranging the flowers, you can make your own wedding flower arrangements. Ask the help of your cousins or friends.

First think of how many flower arrangements to make. That will include the flower arrangements for the altar; the tables for the reception, the pews, maybe corsages for the men and the bride’s maid, and of course the bride’s bouquet. That’s where having your own detailed wedding planner organizing book comes in. These book don’t cost that much but can save you a ton of headaches and worries. They outline every last detail that might be needed in a wedding. Maybe something as simple as the “something blue” tradition that you might have overlooked. Many of the items may not apply to your wedding, but you simply skip over those, or mark through them, and go on to the ones that do relate to you.

Not only are the needed to do items listed but a time-line for each item will be indicated. Some things should be done early, and other things are more last minute details. By following the time-line you will feel confident that you are making progress and yet won’t get discouraged when you think about how much has to be done. You just take it one step at a time as the book lays it out.

You might see if they would help you in that area on an hourly cost basis.

To sweeten the deal for them, you might also hire them as you day of wedding director – because while you can do much of your wedding planning, when it comes to the day of your wedding, you don’t want to be a wedding director. You know that it is your wedding! You are getting a lot of advice no doubt about what you should do in your wedding. And you may even be prone to asking people about what you should do, or what most people do. Couples ask me that often and I tell what many others do, but then remind them that it is their wedding and they should do the way they want to.

This is one of the best ways to make your wedding unique. Do it the way you want to. Do it the way that it most sense for you and as a result your wedding will be special and memorable. Here are some suggestions to help you think through making your wedding uniquely yours.

• If you are a big outdoor enthusiast, then consider an outdoor wedding location. Maybe your sister’s wedding and everybody you know had theirs inside. But it doesn’t matter. Maybe you can be the first outside and others will follow your lead.

• Do you have pet that is like part of the family? You could include Fido somehow. He could be the ring bearer. I wouldn’t suggest actually having the rings on the dog since with one sighting of squirrel could say good-bye to your rings.

It doesn’t have to be Shakespeare, but your heart-felt expressions of why you love this person and why you want to spend your life with them. People love that!

• Let your interests show through in the choice of your wedding location. I have already mentioned outdoor weddings for those that like being outside. Are you interested in history? Then look around to see what historical homes or other historical sites are available in your area for weddings. Like the water? I’ve done weddings on house boats and even in a bass boat once.

• What is your favorite season of the year? Some people actually love wintertime! So have a winter themed wedding. They are actually quite beautiful. Fall is a favorite time for many, but you can still add uniqueness in your choices of wedding décor and location.

I’m not one for being different just to be different. You want to be unique because you aren’t just like everybody else. You do want people to remember your wedding and have a good experience. So start thinking about who you are, what marriage means to you, and what you would like your wedding day to be like. And then go for it!
