A church wedding is the most solemn ceremony of all weddings in my opinion. It is celebrated with rites and many religious rituals. The church therefore would have to look solemn and lovely. The decorations would have to be simple yet beautiful and the major part of the decoration are the wedding flower arrangements.
There are different flower arrangements available. Each is specifically designed for the area that you plan to put it in. For example if you plan to put a flower arrangement at the foot of the altar, the arrangement is expected to be big and with spread out shrubbery because the table is the center of the attention.
For the decorating church pews, flower arrangements could be contained in holders at the side of each pew where it faces the walk way. The holder could be a hanging one or one that is up on a stand. If it is hanging, it is a good Idea to incorporate vine like plants to make the illusion ribbons hanging over the pots or the holders. If it is a stand, then arrangements with circular or round shapes are better. Remember that before doing your arrangements you should look at the church and plan the places you want to decorate.
If the altar is already rich in accents and church décor then you shouldn’t put too much flower arrangements there. Windows could also be adorned with flowers as well as doors. However, you don’t have to put flowers in all places. Just choose areas that you think will be catching the eye of your guests. You can use roses, calla lilies, ferns, ivy, mums, or whatever your heart desires. The color can be mixed or monochromatic. Avoid overdoing it with the arrangements. You can make the arrangements simple yet elegant.
Flower arrangements could be bought ready- made or custom made. For weddings, it is always custom made, have your florist do some samples if you are not adept at flower arrangements. If you have an arrangement in mind, you could do one arrangement and tell your florist to make it as his pattern, or if you have seen a picture of the flower arrangement you want, you can show them to your florist and have them copy that arrangement. The most important thing is that you are satisfied with what you will see.
In church weddings, flower arrangements are important. They make the church look more romantic and beautiful. You have to choose carefully what goes with the décor of the church, you would want your flower arrangements to adapt to the ambiance of the church while also accenting important areas of the church. The key is finding a good florist who can execute flower arrangements specific to your wants.
