Every woman wants their wedding to be beautiful and envying. With that in mind, decorations come into play. When we think about wedding decorations we think about candles, lightings, effects, and most importantly, flowers. In my opinion, flowers, whether purple wedding flowers or whatever color, should always be present in weddings.
It is the thing that makes a place look magical and romantic. It plays a major role in satisfying one’s sense of sight. When you walk into a reception area or church to be wed and you don’t see flowers, the place looks dull and lifeless, but with flowers, the place will surely look festive.
Choosing the kind of flowers and their colors vary depending on your taste, but it would be best to consider the motif you’ll be having when picking the right flowers for your special occasion. The color of the flowers must match your wedding color theme of course. It also depends on what mood you want to set.
Colors have different symbolisms. For example, the color red is for romance, passion, congratulations. Which is why it’s the color for Valentine’s Day and the reason that it is the color motif usually picked by couples. Red roses will surely make your wedding look romantic. White on the other hand symbolizes purity and innocence. White usually represents the bride. If you choose white flowers for your wedding décor, the overall effect would be classy and simple.
Another color of flowers known to grace weddings is the color pink. Colored pink flowers symbolize sweetness and elegance. The color pink may also mean happiness or gratitude. So it is also a nice idea to give plastic pink roses as tokens of appreciation for your guests who came. Just decorate it with your picture or tag it with your names. Peach colored flowers also have the same symbolism as pink roses.
Rarely seen at weddings are yellow colored flowers. It is because it signifies friendship. But since yellow also means joy, it can also be used to symbolize the cheer of the occasion. An orange colored flower means desire, pride or enthusiasm. In weddings orange colored flowers are used together with other colored flowers to get a vibrant theme or to avoid the monotony of the color scheme. Try mixing orange colored flowers with yellow, pink and white colored flowers to have variety.
Two colors of flowers very rarely used in weddings are the colors blue and black. Some couples choose blue colored flowers, thinking that the color is cool and unique, however the meaning of the color blue is impossible, or unattainable. So the color is inappropriate to use in weddings. The color black on flowers are so rare that is why some think it is very precious.
The meaning of color black flowers is usually death or ending, however it can also symbolize new beginnings, so it is actually more appropriate to use at weddings, but the color is so dull that it is often not suggested. You may see the color black in goth themed weddings. If you are going to use black you may pair it up with a bright color like red to give it contrast. In that way, your wedding flower arrangements are more unique looking.
These are just some of the flower colors that you can use. There are more to explore out there. Use them solo or in combinations. Colored flowers will surely make your decorations rich and great looking.
